| The ncKATI Server - The specialist for dynamic web sites The ncKATI Server is a service, which was especially developed for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 / Windows 2000 Professional / Server. The ncKATI Server downloads files from different web servers time-controlled. The files can be saved locally or on a FTP server. The administration is made by a browser interface. Application 1: Periodic call from dynamic pages Web pages with dynamic contents are often produced from data bases. If the information is updated only in a certain rhythm, for example once daily, then ncKATIServer can be used to reduce the number of accesses to the data base. The ncKATIServer is arranged to load the dynamic page and store it as static HTML page on the server to certain points in time. If the static page is then recalled, then no accesses to the data base take place. Application 2: Indexing of data base-produced homepages If a Homepage is arranged from the information by data bases, then these dynamic pages can not be indicated by search machines. If you want to avoid this, then you can arrange the ncKATIServer to recall periodically dynamic pages and store these as static HTML pages on the server. Since each search machine can search these static pages, you will be able to register a rise of the numbers of visitors on your homepage soon. Application 3: Duplication of web contents The ncKATIServer can be used to load certain pages and store it over a FTP transfer on a mirror server periodically.
